Shore at Midnight Digital art 2020 by Justin Gedak
I finished another digital painting of a mermaid sitting on the shore during a snow storm at midnight. I must have spent about 10 or so hours just on the fin/tail alone. Tried a ton of different colors, sizes, and shades--but had a really tough time getting it right. It's still not really as good as I'd like it to be, but this is the best version of it I managed to get out.
Doing my recent series of mermaids has been really fun. Still planning on doing a lot more, hopefully the next ones with less difficulty haha!

Mermaid Portrait Detail
